Yesterday Mackenzie really discovered her feet! She's noticed them before but never showed much interest, but yesterday she was all about them. It was absolutely adorable. :o) I love milestone moments.
And my cuddler continues to be a cuddler. And biter. If she had teeth, I'd be in big trouble because she's always mouthing on me. I don't mind for right now, but we may have to have a chat with those teeth finally break through (which hasn't happened yet, obviously).
We have her napping okay on an HME once a day. Our goal is to get her napping well on an HME before we start weaning the CPAP (with the thought that she will need a good rest at night to recoup from the HME during the day). So far, so good. She does work a little harder with the HME on sometimes (especially during her nap), but I think in a week or two we can try 2 naps.
Alright, I'm off to finish getting ready for our trip to UNC today. Mackenzie's having her MicKey button replaced. It should be a "quick" and easy trip. We're leaving at 7am and hopefully should get back in town around 2:30 or 3pm.

We are the parents of Mackenzie, a former 26 week preemie who was born September 13 of 2008, weighing 1 pound 11.5 ounces. After being diagnosed with a subglottic hemangioma three months later, Mackenzie was trached and has since proven she is anything but ordinary. I love milestones too. .and aren't they so cute with their feet?? Can she put her's in her mouth? Miles can't.. but I think I'm okay with that... :)
I so wish my baby was a cuddler ..he wont have anything to do with cuddling.. in fact he only lets us hold him facing out.. :(
How sweet! You need to get pictures of her grabbing those little toesies.
